Roleplay Prompts

NOTE: I have not yet completed writing the story hooks for Adeline, so her backstory is a bit unclear. Feel free to message me about it if you're curious!

Narthex
It isn't often that you see Ishgardian clergy outside of the Holy See. Most of the time they are too involved in their own affairs to speak with heathens. And so you are less than fully prepared when you find a young Hyuran Abbess flagging you down in the Coerthas Central Highlands. She is kneeling beside a large, overturned crate, frantically scooping items back in.

Apse
The Vicar General of the Holy See of Ishgard did not make herself easy to locate, but by virtue of her station, most adults in Ishgard could tell you who she was. If you'd ever needed to meet with the Archbishop, you probably needed to meet with her first.

Towers
While idling in the lobby of the Carline Canopy, you find an unusually hefty journal lying on an abandoned table. In place of a page at the front naming its author, you find a line from the Enchiridion, "Of the Fury's love will all men receive,/ and by the balance of Her spear will all be set free."
Just as you move to present your findings to Mother Miounne, a harried-looking woman in Ishgardian Orthodox habiliments taps your shoulder. "I apologize for troubling thee, but I believe that thou hast my journal." She smells like copper, and other patrons cast pitying glances toward her as you talk. She smiles at you and holds out her open palm. "I would have it back, if it please thee."

Communion (18+)
Content warning for implications of violence
You were riding between the Sanctum of the Twelve and Gridania one night when the light of a lantern in the Bramble Patch caught your eye. You see a woman silhouetted in its glow, crouched over something. As you approach the light's source, you can hear her ragged breathing, the occasional grunt as she manipulates the form afore her. With a wet pop, she retrieves her prize: a soft lump of flesh that your eyes cannot discern, but that the knot in your gut can. No, you realize; no one was ever meant to bear witness to this.
She turns for a moment from her grisly work, turns towards you. Her yellow eyes find you through the thick brambles and deep shadows. You become keenly aware of how far you are from the city. You do the only thing you can think of to do as Adeline Bhioldr stumbles from her altar.
